I can just see the added advantage of some of my friends that had major in the Information Technology field of studies and certification. It has become a fashion these days to own at least a laptop, PDA, mobile phones and all these has connection to the Information Technology.

Information Technology (IT), which is the study, design, development, implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware has become the boom in the age of technology and in the field of multimedia. It relates to the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, distribute, and secure information retrieval.

Nowadays, the term information technology has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computer science and technology, and the term is more recognizable than ever before. The Information Technology umbrella can be very large and includes a wide range of fields. IT professionals perform a variety of tasks ranging from installing applications for the design of complex computer networks and databases. A few of the tasks that IT professionals may include the execution of data management, network, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of complete systems.
