Appetizer : What was your favorite cartoon when you were a child?

I think there were a few such as Pink Panther, Thunder Cats, Dungeons and Dragons, and Scooby Doo. I am sure there are more but I can't remember them now.

Soup : Pretend you are about to get a new pet. Which animal would you pick, and what would you name it?

I think tortoise. It would be named Relax.

Salad : On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy getting all dressed up for a special occasion?

5 in the middle because it depends on my mood.

Main Course : What kind of music do you listen to while you drive?

Light and easy or the Hindi/Tamil channel.

Dessert : When was the last time you bought a clock? And in which room did you put it?

I honestly can't remember. I have clocks in the living room. In the bedroom I have my mobile phone which can be set for alarm too. I also use my mobile phone at study table.

No, I am not into practical jokes. I am too serious for this.

What do your salt and pepper shakers look like?

I don't have special salt and pepper shaker. I just buy those ready in a bottle from the supermarket.

Where is the next place you plan to visit (on vacation or business)?

Just to the state of Malacca for bible convention.

What kind of lotion or cream do you use to keep your hands from getting too dry?

Just some moisturizer like Johnson and Johnson's but I seldom use any.

I am not so creative with food. So this is the "real" thing. It is called cendol. The ingredients for cendol are shaved ice, coconut milk, starch noodles with green food coloring (usually sourced from the pandan leaf), and palm sugar. Red beans, glutinous rice, grass jelly, and creamed corn are optional additions.

Appetizer - The world is coming to an end. There's no way out. You only have time to say one thing to one person you know. What would you say, and to whom?

Hmm...the end of the world to me is a little different from what is commonly believed in. If there is a disaster that I know of and there is no way out and if my hubby is with me, I would say, See you in Paradise.

What is your favorite kind of cereal?

I like muesli with milk. I like the Dorset Cereals range.

When was the last time you purchased something for your home, what was it, and in which room did it go?

A comforter set plus bedsheet and matching pillow cases which goes into the bedroom naturally.

What is the funniest commercial you’ve ever seen?

It has been quite a while since I've watch TV. I don't remember any off hand. But there is one on radio about abusing domestic animals that is rather cute. The two "animals" were telling how they were not given food and beaten by their owners. Then they whimper and cried. It is not funny in the humorous sense but the animal voices made by the advertisers are. Of course, this is a serious message and in Tamil language but my husband told me the gist of it. Another one on radio is about a guy who was text messaging on his mobile while driving, he crashed his car and made some regrettable sound on the radio. That is funny but again serious message too.

Main Course
Make up a name for a company by using a spice and an animal (example: Cinnamon Monkey).

I like cinnamon too. But since it is already used as the example, I go for Paprika Fox.

Fill in the blank: I haven’t eaten prawns since I had my acute eczema outbreak in 1998. People say that seafood especially prawns and crabs causes allergic reaction to sensitive skin.

How many times per day do you usually laugh?

I don't really count. It also depends on the company I am having and what is the occasion, I suppose. If there is a celebration going on or friends are around, definitely more than on normal days.

What do your sunglasses look like?

I don't have any sunglasses at the moment.

You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?

Malaysia is not that big. I live in Selangor (see map). I will perhaps go down south to Johor and then visit Singapore (not my country) which is just across the causeway.

Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city.

Eating out is cheap. There are a variety of dishes due to the multi racial society here. This is a "feast" topic after all.

If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?

I would still prefer blue. It was chosen by the Creator. Besides, blue soothes and has a calming effect.

I have my wedding photo, a table fan and my mobile phones on my computer desk.

On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how honest do you think you are?

I would say 9. There is no reason for me to lie if I am being upright true to my own conscience. The only 1 point left that I didn't give myself is for those extreme sensitive cases whereby I would just not divulge the full facts if the person does not have the right to know or when they should get the facts from more authoritative sources.

If you could change the name of one city in the world, what would you rename it and why?

There is a city named Ayer Keroh (Muddy Water) in the state of Malacca in Malaysia. Though I am not sure how the place earned the name as such but perhaps a more pleasant one could be Pleasantville. Hmm...in Malay that could sound like Bandar Seronok.

What stresses you out? What calms you down?

I feel stressed out when I travel for long journeys. Perhaps this is because I have skin problems and traveling in an enclosed vehicle makes it itchy due to low blood circulation. The heat in the car even though air conditioned makes the skin bad too after a long journey.

What calms me down is reading and resting in a quiet place. Soft music helps too. Perhaps chocolates thrown in for good measure will be most welcomed.

What is your middle name? Would you change any of your names if you could? If so, what would you like to be called?

Hmm...it is difficult to say with a Chinese name because it is not whole when separated. As for my first name Serena, although given by my parents, it is not a registered name in my birth certificate.

If you were a fashion designer, which fabrics, colors, and styles would you probably use the most?

I guess I would pick cotton since it is a favourite in Malaysia. I would like to try the Batik industry. Batik refers to a generic wax-resist dyeing technique used on textile.

What is your least favorite chore, and why?

Cooking because I don't have the interest in it. But eating is a different story though.

What is something that really frightens you, and can you trace it back to an event in your life?

I think it would be old age and losing the ability to care for self. Watching my beloved grandparents growing old and passing away. To need being taken care of by others even in menial tasks is very depressing.

Not very good at describing here. This is the punjabi suit my hubby and I chose. It has gold flowery trimmings at the V neckline and shoulder borders. There are some gold stuff on the whole dress too. It doesn't come off easily.

Hmm...I guess the day had already been wipe out because I am feeling contented and happy now. I try to train myself to have short term memory for days, incidents and persons that upsets me.
