Why streaming video on blogs is popular?

One may have noticed that recently it became very popular for individuals to post streaming videos on their blogs or online journals. Some people may have asked themselves why streaming video on blogs is popular, and the answer to this can be fairly in depth. First of all, the purpose of a blog is to share information with one’s self or others. Most people that are going to be using a computer are fairly literate, but in some cases the individuals are not. When they come to a blog, they can get some of the information from the video and still be able to have a more dependable grasp on the concept, as opposed to not being able to view the video or read the blog. Secondly, many people do not have time during their busy day to commit to reading. It is not very easy to read something, and perform other actions at the same time.

However, many people will notice that we are able to watch television and do other things at the same time. The same is true when it comes to viewing streaming videos on blogs. Whether the individual is just doing other things on the computer, or they are actually away from the computer but watching the video as if it were the television, the individual that is doing the viewing is able to multi-task in a way that they would be unable to do without the video on the blog. This simply helps to smooth out a person’s life so that they can do other things at the same time, should the individual be in a hurry or want to multi-task.

Some people do not read as fast as others. However, we all view things at the same speed. When an individual is not able to read something quickly, they may not be as inclined to work on reading a blog that they may otherwise be interested in reading. In order to make up for this, many people will post streaming videos on their blog sites in order to capture the attention of an individual that may be either viewing the videos on the blog or reading the blog itself. If a person sees a video that they are interested in, they may be more likely to read the blog that coincides with it, even if they are a slow reader, because of the fact that they enjoyed the video. However, this may not be as true of the individual that does not have a video to help pull them in to the blog itself.

Instead, a person may merely skim the blog or skip it entirely. We are in an age of constantly moving, and unless a person makes a conscious effort to stop and observe something, they are not as inclined to do so. When people wonder why streaming video on blogs is popular, they really only need to look at the many ways in which the individuals involved are able to prosper both by viewing the video and by posting the video.

SocialSpark to spruce up your blogging business

I am sure most of my blogger friends would have heard of
SocialSpark by now. However, for the benefit of some other visitors that have not had the opportunity to chance upon this multiple faceted site, I would like to introduce you to an ultimate all-in-one package site for bloggers. Many hardworking bloggers know for a fact now that blogging is not just a matter of write and post. There is a need to get traffic as well. This means getting readers and visitors to your blogs.

So what most bloggers would do is join many social networking sites that features different blogs in categories, offer forums and topics of interest which can lead to many heated discussions and hurt feelings, make friends and vote on each other's blogs. This is in fact what can be done at SocialSpark minus the forum part. You can make friends and vote for each other's blogs and also send instant messages to each other.

Another feature that would enthrall bloggers at SocialSpark is that it is also a marketplace for advertisers and bloggers themselves. How so? You can actually make money from your blogs. When you sign up at SocialSpark, you create a profile where advertisers and other bloggers can view. The advertisers will then do the same when they have some opportunities or task for the bloggers. You then browse through the opportunities matching the topic of your blogs and expertise and reserve the task if applicable. Now the ball is in the advertiser's court. They will peruse your profile and and send you a message within the system to let you know that they have accepted your blog for the assignment. It is that simple.

At SocialSpark, it values the part advertisers and bloggers play at making it a success for everyone and therefore it will adhere to the code of ethics such as:

-100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
-100% Transparency
-100% Real Opinions
-100% Search Engine Friendly

Intense Debate User

I have a new comment form here by Intense Debate. It looks good so far. There are so many features that I don't know where to begin. For a start, us bloggers here at Blogspot can have the comment form on the same page as the post. Some other cool features are tracking and notifications via feeds, you get to reply to other commenters (hmm...this feature can be controlled by the admin, of course), avatar and profile enabled, voting ability on the comments (this is to encourage sensible and intelligent comments rather than some "oh, that's nice" type of replies), all kinds of social networking sites integrated to boost traffic to your sites, and widgets on top commenters and others.

This is a very useful tools to say the least for us bloggers here at blogspot. Try it out and see if all is working good for you. I have just started this and so far no problems in installing it. I can import comments from blogger. Let's see how it all goes. Leave me a comment if you are able to comment here or otherwise please leave a message at the chatbox if you have trouble using the comment form. Thank you!

Make a Bang with your Blog Post!

I know many of my fellow bloggers and friends are work at home mothers and blogging truly offers an excellent opportunity to write and express themselves, socialize without leaving their kids from home through the social community networks online, make friends and also make some side income to help out with the family's expenses. I know this for a fact because I am doing the same thing.

As such when new blog marketing and blog advertising opportunities arises, we will be on the lookout and also alert our fellow friends and bloggers to such companies. One of which will be highlighted in this post is Snapbomb. Although I am unable to ascertain how they came up with this intriguing name, they did say that their purpose is to create a platform for marketing advertisers' products and services through word of mouth (read bloggers) and personal advocacy. This is the method believed to be the strongest form of advertising and provides the greatest bang for your buck.

They have their own evaluation system to price the assignments and tasks offered to your individual blog or blogs.
So depending on the visitors, page rank, popularity of your blog, or some other ranking system they use, Snapbomb will price each post separately. Once accepted into the system, you will find opportunities that matched or targeted to your blog and when you accept an assignment, you have 12 hours to complete it. It doesn't get more interesting than this. Try it out!

Blog Advertising and Paid Blogging

When I started to learn about earning online, I did so with a lot of trial and error. Nevertheless, there is a rather stable market for bloggers who can write about a variety of topics. There are many market for good bloggers who would like to earn. Blog Advertising is one avenue for revenue open to bloggers. By writing about some review on sites and products, they can offer their readers some extra product knowledge or what is out there on the internet. The advertisers get their products and services to a wider audience while bloggers also earn legitimate income through their hard work and research for their assignments.

Paid Blogging is a fine way to reward bloggers who are looking to earn income without risk manner. After all you are being paid for your expertise, your talent in writing and convincing your readers about the benefits of certain products or services. The internet is a portal or gateway to information and this is where bloggers and advertisers can meet to exchange their goods and services.

Free Online Tools for Your Blog

I know that there are some blogging tools that might assist you as they have helped me. All the tools mentioned here are free and can be found online. For example, I have been looking for a word count for some time now. I had been using Microsoft Word but to there is an online one now. Check: Word Count Tool. There there is also a colour picker for finding out the exact colour codes for changing and blending banner colours. A color picker and color mixing tool, including harmonious color finder; features 5 formats of picked color value (HTML, RGB, HEX, HSB/HSV, HSL), 3x/9x zoom, saving picked color history, RGB & RYB color wheels, RGB color mixer, a user-defined hotkey. Download: Anry Color Picker 1.6.

Other site that I find helpful is this online word processor. It can do all the stuff Microsoft Office can but this is free online. These are some of its features.
  • Access from anywhere
Access, edit, share documents from anywhere.
  • Create and edit documents your way
Create, edit and re-format documents using our WYSIWYG editor.

Crawl Score-website diagnostics service

There is an interesting site named Crawl Score that can crawl your blogs or websites to diagnose any issues or problems with your blog or site. One thing that we sometimes are wary about are the extra codes that we need to install in our blogs or websites before any reports can be given. We just do not know whether the codes will at the same time give the other party "control" over our site or blog's other important information besides the statistics. There are no codes to be install with Crawl Score. Just enter your site url or link that the crawl will take place immediately. Of course the more pages your site has, the longer it would take to return the results.

The site has video demonstrations and detailed explanations about how their crawler works and what kind of a report and diagnosis you can expect. The packages they offer are:

Simple Ways to Publicize Your Blog

According to this video at WebProNews, there are simple ways that you can publicize your blog. Some gists that I had gathered here are:

1. Create a great about us or about me page so others can know what products or services you are in and what you are writing about. This can draw similar niche people to your blog.

2. Leave comments to blogs that have similar niche or products. This will have a twofold effect:
  • When people read your comment, they might be intrigue to check out your blog.
  • If you are new to that blog, that is a nice way to introduce yourself and your blog.
3. Be utterly passionate about your topic. Visitors and readers know it.

4. Be aware to Alert Analysts, Target Media, to the industry that you are working with. This is to get them to follow your blog.

5. Syndication

Brief guide to Domain Name and Web Hosting

I was exasperating my online friends when I started doing online stuff. This is because I don't know any internet terms and jargon. They either laughed or get frustrated when I do not even know how to copy and paste words or sentences. Anyway, that was some milleniums ago in cyberworld. Not that I have learned much but I can get by asking the "right" questions if I am stuck with something. And recently I have my own domain for my blog too. Though the set up part was done by my brother.

Domain name is likened to your online identity. The link that has your personal chosen name or company name that appears on the address bar at the top. There are two parts of a domain. The domain name proper and the top level domain extension (.com .net .org .info) After registering your domain with a reputable company, you will need to make a web hosting choice to host that domain and your website for you. That will make your site "live" on the internet.

Some web hosting companies will register your domain for you so that you don't have to do it separately.

Blog Readability Test

Hmm...I wonder if there were any big and difficult words that I use in this blog? I have this rating for my blog's Readability Test.

cash advance

Some folks felt surprised that their blog's test results showed only high school level, I mean they felt insulted. But I would rather folks understand what I am writing about rather than having difficult words that puts people off. What do you think?

Web Hosting Choice

I am seriously thinking about getting my own site, that is my own domain name and hosting. It has been more than a year now that I am with blogspot, but I do indeed grew to love blogspot alot. Now that it is out of beta stage and things are so simple with the drag and drop layout, just what a non technie like me can get use to. However, I do want to get into, ah...different opportunities in this arena of blogging and I see a so called brighter future with my own blog than free hosting here at blogspot.

Hmm...so where do I start? There is a guide here that I have been looking at. It is Web Hosting Choice (http://www.webhostingchoice.com), which offers some quick start up guide to web hosting. A quick glance at the start up guide shows that I need: 1. Domain Name 2. Web Design 3. Web Hosting

Don't worry, each of those terms are explained clearly at the site. Suggestions are given as to which plans would suit our needs and knowledge regarding the matter. There are different plans to cater to the need of a blogger or even a business set up.

Techniques for Link Building Like an Expert

This is a video that explains about legitimate ways to build links and increase traffic to your site or blog. It is put in simple terms and illustrated in the video. There are also things you should avoid doing so as not to disqualify your site or blog from search engines or spending money without getting the result that you want.

Some of the methods discussed are:

1. Write an authority article
2. Write a great linkbait
3. Use numbers in your title
4. Spend some time (ten hours) to put together a huge list of links
5. Say nice things about people who link out
