Week Number 121

1) In what movie is the most violent scene you've ever seen?

I don't really like violent movies and have a very low tolerance on these type of movies. However, I was watching this so called historical movie, Joan of Arc and of course it is dealing with wars and the atrocities of it. But the very end of the movie when she was burnt was a little too horrible for me to forget so to speak.

2) Of all the people you know, who would make the most successful TV evangelist?

None. The people I know would never think of becoming a TV evangelist.

3) Who is the person who most deserves to be rewarded for something?

I am not sure about this question either. All parents who had cared diligently for their children, I guess. Parenting is just so hard.

4) When was the last time you cried and why?

About a month ago because of some misunderstanding with my brother. All sorted out now. He got sick physically because of our misunderstanding as well.

5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

This photo reminds me of a cabin in the woods. Since there are not much modern facilities in the woods, therefore the wooden fire place.

Week Number 117

1) What is the worst experience you have ever had in a car?

I was resting with my eyes closed while hubby was driving. Then something made me open my eyes and I saw a speeding bus turning a steep corner losing control with its tail just inches away from the car. The bus then spin a full round of 360° and overturned by the curb. We barely made it but fortunately our side of the road curb was wide and hubby managed to drive to the side to avoid the collision. Surprisingly none of the passengers were hurt even though the bus was lying on its side by then.

2) Who is your personal hero, and why?

Jesus as he was the role model for someone who had strong faith in God.

3) Name the one thing you have done that has caused you the most guilt during your lifetime.

I don't know how to answer this question. I try to look forward instead of regretting the past. If I had wronged anyone, I try to make amends as soon as I can.

4) What is the most important duty or chore you perform regularly?

Blogging as it is my work now.

5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Week Number 116

1) What are the three most important family values in your family? For the world? Are they the same?

For my family would be trust, love and respect. For the world would be love, justice and peace. I think love is the common value here. When dealing with a close one and the world in general, I think other issues and values take precedence.

2) Name your least favorite candy. Why do you dislike it so much?

This is hard. I have a sweet tooth and I generally like candy. If I absolutely have to choose, I think soft sticky ones are what I dislike. I mean those that stick to the teeth and you need to keep chewing until they dissolve or something. They make my jaws ache.

3) Among your friends, which would you choose as the next Pope?

None of my friends would want to be the next Pope!

4) What is the slowest realization you've ever come to?

About me being a perfectionist. Not with regards to expectations on others but on myself.

5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Just wondering here why a small narrow road like this would have a SLOW sign painted on it? I mean is there a likelihood any vehicle would speed on this narrow road in the first place? Perhaps it is to warn of animals crossing but would make more sense to have those sign board ones than painted on the road.

Manic Monday

Manic Monday Logo

Is there anything for which you would willingly give your life?
Yes, for my family and Christian brothers and sisters.

How would you communicate with someone if you didn't share a common language?
Depending on the situation, perhaps use a phrase book, a human translator or digital one or sign language with hands and gestures. If time permits, perhaps use pictures and drawings as well.

Where is your ideal place/location to have a wedding?
Although I like outdoor settings but in my country that is disastrous because of the humidity. It will ruin any makeup for sure and if it rains... So a simple buffet style lunch or dinner at the hotel will suit me best. Yeah, I have no creativity in this regard, just want a convenient one.

Creative Adventure XII

1. While walking in my neighborhood I notice a dead end street that I haven't seen before. My curiosity getting the best of me I decide to walk down to the end. While almost at the end I notice that it was not a dead end after all. In fact it opens into a narrow path that leads to a cottage. What caught my eye though was that there is a huge garden just by the side of the cottage.

2. In the garden there is a maze. Thinking it would be fun I decide to try out the maze and see where exactly it leads to.

3. Now a little worried that I might be lost in the maze I turn the next row and see a small pond right in the middle of the maze. I have the urge to dip my fingers into the water and feel the coolness of the water. As I touch the water, I feel younger and lighter. I quickly took out my hand held mirror from my bag and was shocked to see my gray hair now a lustrous black again! Thinking that this must be a trick or something, I seek to get out of the mystical garden. I slowly trace my way back and as I exited the maze, I find that my steps are becoming heavy again. I am glad to be back on familiar grounds.

4. Relieved and walking back home I think to myself "Did I just get rejuvenated and aged again as I leave the garden? Would I have given up my freedom for eternal youth? Well, I find that I am happy to be back come what may..."

Spring Edition

1. Does your household do spring cleaning?
We clean the whole house once every 3-4 months. Of course there are daily and weekly chores as well.

2. Do you approach spring with joy for all the newly growing things and the sight of grass, or does it just scream MUDDY FLOORS AND MOPPING?
We don't have the four seasons here in Malaysia. It is a tropical country with rain and shine all year round. So we also have greens all year round. As for muddy floors, there are certain places that are hit by flash floods after sudden heavy rain and people will need to evacuate if flood water rises.

3. Do you have a garden that you will be planting and, if so, what do you plant?
No, I don't have a garden. I lived in a high rise apartment building which is not practical for planting anything.

4. What is your favorite thing about springtime?
I guess it is spring here everyday in Malaysia. It is warm.

I just thought this picture is beautiful. At first I thought there were zebras and horses but then I realized those were the shadow.
