Should You Buy Desktop Computers Or Laptops?

I have been following a blog or website lately concerning Ikea Hacks that uses inexpensive materials to build fantastic looking computer tables, the way that different tiers can be added to cater for the desktop computers and its keyboard plus other accessories such as the speakers and printers. They look great actually. Now if only I have the skills to execute some of the suggestions and ideas presented.

Desktop computers come in a variety of styles ranging from large vertical tower cases to small form factor models that can be tucked behind an LCD monitor. These days it is not uncommon for more people to operate a home business and probably need a couple of desktop computers that can take care of all their administrative and networking demands.

Desktops have the advantage over laptops that the spare parts and extensions tend to be standardized, resulting in lower prices and greater availability. Desktops have several standardized expansion slots, like PCI or PCI express, while laptops generally only tend to have one mini PCI slot and one PC card slot (or ExpressCard slot). This means you can do more stuff on a desktop than on the laptop. Desktop computers also provides more space for heat to escape. If you are not completely sure how much computer do you need, you can also view these specifications online before making a purchase.

Now as I was telling about those fantastic Ikea hacks earlier, there are really various ways to make your work at the desktop computer a pleasure. It could be special lightings, a way to hide the multitude of wires so that it looks almost "wireless" to operate your desktop computers and much more great ideas.
