Every Woman Should...

Has it really been almost a week since I last posted? Well I had been busy with teaching and stuff. The below thoughts are taken from that Daily Meditation for Women (banner on lower right--A Gift For You). Feel free to browse through that site for some gems of a thought, etc. It is free. Hope you enjoy reading...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
A set of screwdrivers,
a cordless drill,
and a black lace bra.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
One friend who
always makes her
laugh...and one
who lets her cry.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
A good piece of furniture
not previo
usly owned by
anyone else in her family.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
Eight matching plates,
wine glasses with stems,
and a recipe for a meal that will
make her g
uests feel honored.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
A feeling of control over
her destiny.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
How to fall in love
without losing herself.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
How to quit a job.
How to break up with a lover and
confront a friend without ruining the friendhip.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
When to try harder and
when to
walk away.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
That she can't change
the length of her
calves,
the width of her hips, or
the nature of her parents.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
That her childhood may not have been perfect
but;
it's over.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
What she would and
wouldn't do for love or more.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
How to live alone
even if she doesn't like it.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
Whom she can trust,
whom she can't and
why she sho
uldn't take it personally.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
Where to go be it to
her best friend's kitchen table or
a charming inn in the woods
when her soul needs soothing.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
What she can and can't accomplish
in a day, a
month and a year.

Human BeatBox

Have you seen this guy doing the human beatboxing thing? What is beatboxing, you ask? Well, when a friend gave me this link (shown at the end of this post) I have no idea at all what it was all about. Until I heard this guy on the headphone. Wow, he sounded amazing! All with human vocal cord.

I have watched people mimicking birds before but not musical instruments like this. I have heard people done motor vehicles too but beatboxing sounds cool. The part where he sang AND did the beats as background music sounds difficult. I have enjoyed this short presentation. Hope you like it too...

Normally I would prefer soft and calm music such as Jazz but these guys making the beats without any instruments other than the microphone is interesting. I remembered in the late 70's there was a band that sang very well without music instruments called Sha-Na-Na. I really enjoyed that group's music and short TV stories. There are also some music bands today that sang without the use of musical instruments, right? Do you know of any groups or bands?

Another guy doing the beatbox whom I think is rather good as well.

Food: Sushi

Have you folks tried Sushi before? Well, I fondly remembered showing some beautiful pictures of Sushi to an online friend and he said they looked nice and yummy and would like to try Sushi one day...that is until he realized that Sushi is made of RAW fish. And I can just imagine his bulging eyes and the expression of Eeewww...raw fish??? If only I can really see his expression then...

However, back to sushi, it is rather delicious to say the least. They are an exotic food in Malaysia but we can get it quite easily too at supermarkets. There are also many Japanese restaurants here and I had noticed that many folks do enjoy sushi as a meal. They do not have oil in them and can be refreshing if one is not allergic to seafood.

These California Rolls are one of my favourites. These are made inside-out containing cucumber, imitation crab stick, and avocado. Sometimes crab salad is substituted for the crab stick, and often the outer layer of rice (in an inside-out roll) is sprinkled with toasted sesame seed or fish eggs.

Feel free to post at the chatbox to let us know your "experiences" with sushi or any other exotic food that you have tried. Hmm...yummy!

Introduction: Yak, yak, yak...

Hello great members, let this be the introduction post to myself and another attempt at blogging again! My name is Serena and I am a resident of Malaysia. I teach private tuition to primary school children in real life and dabbling a little in this and that for online earnings.

I started my online earning through trial and error at the beginning of 2004. Started with zero knowledge in computer and codes and stuff. Tried paidtoread, went into autosurf and HYIP and then back to paidtoread again now as owner.

I was reading and posting lots at forums. That was a fruitful and fun experience. Made many online friends and they really helped me learned a lot in online stuff and in real life too. That had really enriched my life tremendously.

As for QuantumLinks, I try to think of new ways to make it fun plus earning for you folks. Keep the suggestions coming. All ideas and comments appreciated and they will be considered.

Thank you.
